Thrifting Update

Happy New Year, everyone! I hope that you are able to look upon the 2014 with joy at some of the moments you've experienced, and look forward with expectation for more things to come!

I thought I'd share a few things I've recently discovered while thrifting. I've also found some really neat non-clothing items, but I'll share those in another post.

I found most of these at Goodwill--the shirts were $3.75, dresses $4.50, and the black blazer was $4. The polka dotted maroon blazer is brand new with tags from Loft, and I found it at a local thrift store for $3.75, because the whole store was on 75% to make room for new inventory.

With it being the new year, I was thinking about resolutions. I only half-heartedly support the notion of new year's resolutions because I think that any time of the year is equally as great a time to start something new. Regardless, I think I'm going to resolve to avoid buying clothes brand new this year, at least as much as possible.

There are a lot of reasons why I support thrifting, but perhaps that's a topic to delve into another time. For now, I'll just leave you with a challenge. Next time you're looking for a wardrobe update, check out a local thrift store before you shop online or go to the store. You might just be surprise what you'll find.
